Skype Call Connects Church With Missionary

In late February the congregation at Templo Bethel in Pharr, Texas, enjoyed a ministry update from missionary Larryon Truman. But Truman wasn’t on the church platform; he was sitting in his home in Panama!

A few weeks earlier Rick Reyes, pastor of Templo Bethel, attended the AGWM Pastors Forum in Atlanta, Georgia. As he listened to methods other pastors use to emphasize missions in their churches, he learned about Skype—a software application that enables video conferences between users.

Making an Impact on Japanese Lives

Even as the death toll climbs past 12,000 in Japan — with more than 15,000 still missing from the March 11 earthquake and tsunami — the Japan Assemblies of God is ministering physically and spiritually to those in shelters and finding hearts open to the gospel message.

The Japan AG has been able to deliver relief supplies to a number of different AG churches, which in turn reach out to those in nearby shelters.
